I was born in East Germany and lived in
South Africa and later moved to Australia with my children. I love this
country and being near the water. I started making silver jewellery
in South Africa and have been designing and handcrafting jewellery in
Australia for the last 3 years.
I use black opals from Lightning Ridge and I cut the opals and other
semi precious stones (rose quartz and chrysopine) myself. I also have
cut opals available to purchase.
Opalised fossils with shells and bone are some of the variations in
the opals, which are millions of years old.
I am very fortunate to have my friend Nick who supplies stones for my
jewellery.
Working with jewellery and stones is my life. I have attended classes
at a lapidary club to learn some of the techniques.
Each piece is created with love and I enjoy designing my pieces of jewellery.
